Relax into being.

BACK TO TEACHINGS

To be able to simply “be” on demand is a beautiful skill to master. It allows us to reset, recenter and reconnect to ourselves whenever we desire to, bringing us back to the present moment, and aligning us with our true, infinite self. I also find that, for this very reason, through the state of being I’ve had my most profound and enlightening realisations and also my moments of deepest healing.

Being is really about simply allowing ourselves to exist within that very moment, as a true reflection of what we are. We are just letting go of doing and allowing what remains to be there, in a state of perfect acceptance of whatever this is. And as the title of this teaching suggests, for me there is one simple component above all others, that brings me to this perfect state of simply existing.

Relaxation is often overlooked spiritually because spiritual practice (meditation, yoga etc) is often seen as way to relax and unwind. So people then see it as a part of the destination, rather than the journey. What if being relaxed, or relaxing, was a part of the journey too, rather than just the destination? What if the relaxation part was actually the key to something much bigger?

I used to be guilty of this myself. I would meditate until I felt nice and relaxed and then I would stop and do something else, as if I had completed what I wanted to do. It was only when I finally allowed myself to exist or be within the relaxed state, that I found out just what pure relaxation could open me up to. The more I practice this skill, the more easily and efficiently I am able to do it. Even the phrase “relax into being” as a thought, triggers instant relaxation and a transition into the being state within me.

So give yourself the gift of mastering this beautiful skill. You will certainly not regret it!
